Perfect for Romantic Retreats this unique Highland Lodge sits in a scenic spot just half a mile from the legendary NC500 – a breath-taking road trip through Scotland’s rugged northern coast.

The property is ideal for a solo trip or romantic getaway and has additional space thanks to a sofa bed that sleeps an extra two guests. You’ll be close to the Black Isle Peninsula (15 miles), home to ancient Pictish stones, medieval ruins and a 17th-century fishing village. You may even see dolphins frolicking off the coast at Chanonry Point (17 miles). Whisky connoisseurs can visit several local distilleries, the nearest around 7 miles away. For a spectacular rail journey, hop on the Kyle Line from Dingwall (3.5 miles). Prefer to stay put? Simply relax and watch red kites soaring overhead. With Beauly (11 miles), Inverness (16 miles) and the legendary Loch Ness (25 miles) within easy reach, you’ll never be short of adventure.

Before stepping into this stylish cabin, take a moment to appreciate the surrounding scenery of distant countryside and the sounds of nature. Head through the glass doors and into a beautifully presented, open-plan living space that combines a kitchen, diner and lounge. This social heart of the property is soaked in natural light thanks to the many windows and glass doors, spoiling guests with peaceful vistas. Settle in the lounge space after days of adventure, firing up the wood burner and flicking through the Smart TV. When stomachs rumble, the well-appointed kitchen boasts all that’s needed to cook up a Scottish feast, with space to dine indoors or al fresco-style in the garden. At the end of each busy day away, retire to the sumptuous king-size bed. If you’re bringing an extra two guests, find that the sofa converts to sleep an extra two on request. Completing the interior is a well-equipped shower room.

Outside, the enclosed and private patio is a true delight, with night lighting, and a table and chairs for those morning coffees in the sunshine. There’s also a communal BBQ hut and covered seating area for socialising with other guests. If you’re bringing your four-legged friend, make use of the designated walking area nearby. You’ll also have a private driveway with parking for one car.
