In the heart of the Scottish Borders, the picturesque market town of Kelso is full of architectural and historic interest, surrounded by tranquil countryside. On the south edge of Kelso, near the River Tweed, explore the ruins of Kelso Abbey 3 miles away, one of the finest and largest examples of Romanesque architecture in Scotland. Take an idyllic stroll through the magnificent Floors Castle Gardens 4.5 miles away, where you can journey through the spectacular Victorian walled gardens with glasshouses, herbaceous borders and a formal Millennium Garden, plus a cycle trail suitable for the whole family. Uniting history and hiking, climb the rocky outcrop of Lady Hill to discover the mysterious Smailholm Tower, 8.5 miles away.
The single-storey chalet welcomes you into a spacious open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, flooded with natural sunlight from the floor-to-ceiling picture patio windows out to the garden. The contemporary kitchen occupying the front of the space is well-equipped with everything you may need to cater, as well as a farmhouse-style dining table and chairs. The living space beyond is complemented by a large comfy corner sofa arcing around a TV and a cosy feature wood burner. There are also two generous bedrooms, one king-size and one twin, both featuring a set of patio doors framing the rugged views of the organic surroundings. A fully tiled contemporary bathroom completes this chic chalet.
